Jeramie’s musical background stems from around 20 years of drumming experience, with a little influence from his mother who was a “Solid Gold Dancer”. Jeramie first started dancing in November of 1998. In early 2000 Jeramie joined "NeoSwing" an Olympic performance group coached by Tena Morales and Carnell Pipkin which was based out of Houston, Texas. The team went to Sydney and performed as part of the National Association of Dance Educators. Shortly after that Jeramie began competing and DJing regularly and has been addicted ever since. Holding such recognition as a second place in Pro/Am with Carla Heiney at ALHC in 02, 3rd in Champions Jack and Jill ALHC 03, regional ALHC champ 02-04 Texas, Gulf Coast regional champ 05-06, third in the Jill and Jack at ALHC 05, first place at VSO Strictly Lindy in 06, second place blues at ALHC 06, second place Jill and Jack at ALHC 06 and various other smaller regional competitions throughout the country such as second place in the BeBop burger Jack and Jill in Santa Barbara, and first place at the San Diego exchange Jack and Jill in 02. Jeramie brings to the table nearing a decade of dancing experience with a strong knowledge of the musical structure. Highly energetic and a goofball he is sure to keep everyone laughing.
Classic and Contemporary: Take a closer look at the dance moves you know and those you dont. Footwork and body movements that that help you to mold your swing out. This class will draw from classic swing and some modern swing to give you a new look into the swing out. The emphasis will be on partnered movement, timing and execution of swingout variations. The class will challenge you to create your own variation based on the moves we've taught and who knows, maybe it will become part of the class!
Charming yet Seductive: Get over the fear or awkwardness of dancing slow. This class will build a slow basic that can be danced to any genre of music and will showcase a few flashy, sexy, yet subtle moves that will keep everyone entertained. Slow dancing can be slow and sensual, or much more high energy and flashy. We want to provide you the tools you need to make this dance what you want. The music will range from classic blues to modern R&B and everything in between.

Jeramie Anderson and Lily Matini are the Virginia State Open Swing Dance Championships 1st Place Strictly Lindy Champions from 2006. Persian-Americans and Christians, Jeramie and Lily hit it off from the start. Recently they joined forces and began to compete and teach taking the dance scene by storm. Jeramie currently claims Arlington, VA as his home although he credits his dance home to Austin, TX. Lily Monir Matini, Esq. hails from Alexandria, VA and has been dancing since the fall of 1999.
In her freshman year at Oberlin College, Lily co-founded the Oberlin Swing Society, known for its annual Oberlin Jazz Dance Festival. Lily has also peer-judged at the Eastern Balboa Championships, All Balboa Camp Detroit, Paris Balboa Shag Festival, and the Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown. She was an Eastern Canadian Champion and National Jitterbug Champion in 2003, American Lindy Hop Champion in 2004, Balboa Rendezvous and Swing Fling Champion in 2005, Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown Champion, Rhythmic Arts Champion and Virginia State Open Lindy and Balboa Champion in 2006, and most recently, the Jam Cellar Couples Champion in 2007. She has also earned top-ranking titles at events such as: All Balboa Weekend and The Eastern Balboa Championships. Lily has appeared in numerous films, TV programs, news specials, and tributes - most notably performing for an audience of over 140,000 WWII veterans, as well as President Bush and Tom Hanks, at the WWII Memorial Dedication in Washington D.C.
